This autumn Helen Glover will return to Four Seasons Fairways for a very special ‘Active Living Week 2019’ which is aimed at getting people out of their sun loungers (yes it’s still sun bathing weather in the Algarve in October) and up on their feet for some exciting and exploratory exercise.
In Helen’s own words “fitness can be boring” but by doing something different every day, keeping the activity varied and interesting and doing it in a place like Quinta do Lago with everything the area has to offer (such as the Ria Formosa) makes getting or staying fit so much easier. When you wake up in your villa and the sun is shining, you just want to get out there. And there is so much on offer within Fairways tennis, cycling, fitness classes, aqua aerobics, personal training, yoga, thai chi, the list goes on. Then when venturing out of the resort towards the Ria Formosa you’ll find stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, both of which Helen enjoyed the most when she visited last year.
This October she is back, to take a group of guests with her along for the ride. Guests participating in active living week will be joining Helen for some stretch classes (something which Helen says is the most vital part of her training regime), jog’s around QdL and of course getting out on the water.
And if you missed signing up for this one we can now reveal that she will be back in April 2020 for #ActiveLiving2020. Watch this space for dates!
